About Me

My photo
Salamandrina
Kyoto, Japan
After 8 years living and studying in Beijing, China from September 2001 until August 2009, since October 2009 I'm studying and living in Kyoto, Japan...In far-away from home lands,I spend the past decade in a combination of self-imposed exile, a wanderlust pilgrimage of self-discovery and wonder, but also disappointment, disillusionment and heartbreak...With many exiting and not so exiting, but definitely thought-provoking new experiences, observations. Discovering, learning, thinking...even falling in love...A Journey to The East, a path of self-discovery, a journey of wonder, but also a path of solitude, sometimes joyful and lately mostly sad and lonely...but (I earnestly hope it) is also "a path with a heart, where while traversing its length "I travel looking, looking, breathlessly"...

Winter haiku

Just by being,

I'm here --

In snowfall.

Auguste Rodin, The Kiss, 1886

old pine tree haiku

Not yet become a Buddha,
This ancient pine tree,
Dreaming.

Kobayashi Issa

View of Jupiter

To see a World in a grain of sand,

And a Heaven in a wild flower,

Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand,

And Eternity in an hour.
